Hi There.
Time sure has it's way of flying by in the summer, doesn't it?
Here we are - toiling amid the dog days of August already...
The war in Irag is still ongoing and schools are about to reopen, but the Sox are in first place and the blueberries are ripe for the picking.
Here at No Umbrella, we've learned to take the bad with the good, and besides we've got an important job to do so distractions be damned!
So with no further adieu, here comes the content section of our email newsletter:
Thanks to negiotated agreements between dam owners and river interest groups, the state of Maine has great paddling rivers flowing now - even though it is hot and dry. For a release schedule, click here.
Deadline for the final 2005 issue of No Umbrella is 8/15. So if you want to submit a letter, trip report, poem or cartoon, you best get on your horse.

Accomplishment #2:
These beautiful River Greeting cards were designed by No Umbrella artist Kristen Kaiser. You may recognize some of the images from the pages of your favorite paddling and outdoor rag, No Umbrella. Accomplishment #3:
The new subscription experiment is over. We are searching for a new service to deliver our subscriptions to readers for next summer. We apoligize for the late issues, but we thank you for your patience and updates on the progress.
Accomplishment #4:
Any of you readers out there football fans?
I started a Yahoo Fantasy League last night as I was procrastinating...
My team is called the bone crushers. I thought it would be cute if we all named our teams after our favorite rapids or river features ... wait, hold on, I just realized how big a dork I am. Darn.
Anyway, here's the beta if anybody's interested:
