5th Annual TAYLOR PELOTTE SURFATHON
The 5th annual Taylor Pelotte Surfathon will be held on July 28th in The Forks, Maine to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine. The 2006 Surfathon raised over $21,000
for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. With your participation we will make this year's Surfathon even more successful! You should receive your pledge forms by mid-June along with more details about the event. If you know of a business that would like to sponsor the Surfathon please contact Kathy at 829-9237 or e-mail Nyarmouth4@aol.com for a donation request letter.
Thank you all for your continued support! We look forward to seeing you in The Forks.
COOK’S MEETING
There will be a Cook’s Meeting at the Forks on Sunday, July 29th (the weekend of the Annual Picnic and Surfathon). It will be held after paddling at Melissa Howes’ Moxie Lake Camp.
It is located on the lake just before the mile 3.5 sign on the Troutdale Road, which is the dirt road that parallels the lake on the west shore. If you reach the 3.5 sign, back up 100 feet and go up the driveway marked by the black & white striped pole. The sign on a tree reads "Margarita Hill" and Melissa invites us to enjoy the lake before and after the meeting. BYOB and the Margaritas.
This is an important meeting, as the Fall Supper, officer nominations, etc. must be decided. Please plan on attending.

CAMPING AT WEBB’S CAMPGROUND
Trip Coordinators and Participants:
For many years, the PPCS has enjoyed a close relationship with Ed, Andy, and Karen Webb, owners of Webb’s Campground and Riverdrivers Rafting Company. That relationship included an informal open camping agreement. Recently, PPCS numbers have diminished and Webb’s can no longer keep space available in anticipation of PPCS members camping.
Karen and Andy have made it clear that Trip Coordinators and participants should make camping and parking arrangements in advance. No one should assume that they can drive in and camp or park without contacting the Webbs in advance. I recommend that members contact the Webbs as early as possible to arrange their plans and clarify the rates. They can be reached by calling (866-748-7378) or e-mailing info@riverdrivers.com.
