Big water at the Penobscot!! The dam on North Twin Lake has recently been repaired. Because of this, both Seboomook and Ripogenus dams have been releasing extra water to fill up the lake. Video boaters rejoice... Folks down in West Virginia say water is high there as well. One report had the New River up to 11 feet a couple weeks ago... A busy weekend in The Forks on July 4 - 6 included No Umbrella’s first ever public event. The Kennebec River Takeout Tailgate Party (below), co-sponsored by American Whitewater, attracted over 100 folks over the course of 3 hours. After the beer and hot dogs were all gone, everybody got to enjoy the fireworks show put on by The Marshall, Crab Apple and Magic Falls... The First Skowhegan Water Park Paddlers Committee Meeting at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, July 23 at Moose Alley Inn in Bingham. Any and all paddlers welcome.
