Arthur Dickey has paddled for 3 years in 7 states. His family has owned a camp on Moxie Pond for most his life. This summer he is making his living as a video boater on raft trips. Contact him at: pazzoman62@hotmail.com. Here is what Arthur has to say about the Centrifuge:

Surfing

ìSteep waves are sweet, but youíve got to really work this boat to catch and stay on the small waves. Carves nice, but a tad slow on the surf.î

Learning

ìHard to learn in. Not recommended for a first year paddler.î

Balance

ìEnd to end balance is sweet. One of the most stable squirt and bobbing boats Dagger has made.î

Cartwheel

ìThis boat is made to cartwheel: The small tail helps you get that hard second point.î

Creeking

ìI always have a blast, but you have to know what youíre doing because this is not a creek boat.î

Fit

ìKnees are further apart and higher than in a skinnier boat, which adds balance and stability.î

Tracking

ìSuper. You can easily get where you need to go because of Daggerís engineered tracking grooves. However these grooves make flat spinning more difficult for a less experienced paddler.î

Speed

ìNot too fast, not too slow.î

Arthur's Final Comments

ìThis is a perfect boat for a beginner to upgrade to when he/she feels itís time. Very forgiving design: the Centrifuge is shaped sort of like a rain drop with a bigger front than tail, allowing you to punch through holes and big waves without much chance for a recirc.î
